Every Seed I Sow
I don’t chase
I don’t push
I pursue
With patience and grace
Singing softly
As I wait
On my knees in the sun
Tending seeds
Full of hope
They’ll become
But a flower bursting bright
Until a forest fills with light
So much more
Than I had in sight
Seeing clear
There’s no need to fight
Just let go
To give in and grow
Greater and greater
With every seed I sow
Reflection
I recently quit my relationship and my job. Both were hard to do. Especially considering I suck at goodbyes in general.
But I reached a point where despite how hard it was, I had no more hesitation. I had clarity. Even with total uncertainty ahead and a heavy heart, I felt good about making the decisions.
Because I knew that all the little things I’d been doing to get closer to myself again were starting to come into effect.
And I discovered what I always knew: Hope and patience are the most powerful combination.
Don’t push or pull or chase. Just commit and nurture. Those seeds you’re planting will grow into more than you ever thought possible.
You just have to let go. Of control, of limiting the ‘how’ to what’s now in your head. Let the greater unknown show you its greatness. Spontaneity is often full of pleasant surprises.
